ARTIST’S STATEMENT
“Painting in oil, my work addresses the shelters we inhabit and the traces and impressions we leave behind. Based on abstracted realism, the goal is to invoke a familiar narrative that the viewer may recognize. Similar buildings and interior landscapes exist for all of us.”
“My works are narratives using representational images. I gather ideas to create a story. Some works contain figures and others merely suggest a human spirit and experience.”
Nancy De Boni graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 1972 where she earned her AOCAD with honours. Her work has been exhibited in galleries throughout Ontario since her graduation. Nancy currently resides in Toronto, Ontario and is a member of the Ontario Society of Artists.
